BIOVIT Invents Antimicrobial Textile

The newest startup company in Seoul Center
for Creative Economy & Innovation, BIOVIT, has been gathering attention with
its antimicrobial textile utilizing BV AMP
(Human-derived antimicrobial adhesive
protein). The antimicrobial textile has been shown reserved efficacy even after
multiple trials of washing, and could be
used to make masks, surgical clothes,
surgical sheets and more.
Currently BIOVIT¡¯s antimicrobial protein
products have been implements toward lens, kiosk, and other physical
contamination issue products. In the future,
BIOVIT hopes to expand their
product lines in medical and public commodity fields as antimicrobial coatings.
As a biotech-based startup company, BIOVIT has
been working towards confirming its product efficacy against various virus
infections including COVID-19,
preparing for the post-COVID age. BIOVIT¡¯s CEO
Yongtae Kim expressed his excitement as ¡°BIOVIT¡¯s technology is receiving more attention
