The BIG3 category consists of system semiconductor, biohealth and future cars. Within the categories there were 17 system semiconductors, 61 biohealth and 20 future car attendants. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups have announced on December 2019 that it will nominate and support 50 semiconductor, 100 biohealth and 100 future car businesses via the "BIG3 Small and Medium Venture Company Growth Support Strategy," and the nominated businesses will be aided for 3 years with maximum of 1.2 billion won for commercialization and R&D funds, and max 13 billion won of policy funds. The ministry will focus on monitoring the nominated companies for their assignments and achievements with their group of specialists.
